This is designed to reduce the time between an accident occurring and assistance being provided by emergency services. This feature can automatically place an eCall to the emergency services in the unlikely event of an accident and provide them with the location of your car. There is also an SOS button in your car for you to be able to contact the emergency services directly in the event that you witness an accident or require emergency assistance.
The car provides an in-car WIFI hotspot offering speeds of up to 4G LTE, meaning you and your family will not need to use your valuable smartphone data allowance in order to stay connected. The hotspot allows for a maximum of up to 10 devices and allows you to load your favourite streaming services, which can make those monotonous journeys seem shorter for any passengers or children that may be travelling with you in your car. You can now remotely lock and unlock your car using the FordPass app and this simple feature means you won’t have the worry of rushing back to your car if you feel you have forgotten to lock the doors.
You’ll never have to search for your parked car again in an unfamiliar place as the FordPass app is home to a map that shows you car’s exact location.
This allows you to make sure your car is ready for the drive ahead as with the Vehicle Status feature you can check your car’s fuel level, tyre pressure and mileage before you start your journey.
Vehicle Health Alerts You can receive Vehicle Health Alerts directly to your smartphone and the app can also tell you when to change your oil, when a lightbulb has failed or whether your engine is overheating. The alert will pin-point the exact issue and will even provide you with a recommended course of action to take.
