What is the Auto Express Driver Power survey?
The Driver Power survey is a prestigious survey held every year by Auto Express. It assesses the opinions of thousands of everyday motorists around the UK to help determine the best cars to own.
Key factors include reliability, design, and running costs and the result is a definitive list of the top 50 models.
High scores for PEUGEOT
The results from the survey showed impressive progress for PEUGEOT. The French manufacturer rose to ninth in the top 10 ‘Best Car Manufacturers’, rated 89.3%. Based on the brand’s interior and exterior design, and driving dynamics.
What’s more, two of their models also rose above the ranks – the 208 and 2008. The 208 took sixth place with a rating of 89.89%, praised for its high-performing electric variant. It ranked second in individual acceleration and noise categories too.
Meanwhile, the 2008 was rated 89.59%, recognised for its design, especially its exterior fit and finish. It also scored highly for its impressive number of in-car features and infotainment system.
Both excelled in the performance category, claiming the top spot for steering, braking response, and ride quality. While coming second for driving pleasure.
The PEUGEOT 208 and 2008
Both the PEUGEOT 208 and 2008 offer a stylish, modern design and impressive driving technology.
The 208 is a compact hatchback that’s affordable and perfect for city driving. The latest version features signature PEUGEOT styling, from three-claw LED lights and to 208 badging and a rear spoiler.

Connectivity is seamless with the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit. This includes a 10” HD touchscreen and customisable 3D holographic instrument panel.
Both models are available with an electric version if you want to reduce your emissions and enjoy lower running costs. The PEUGEOT e-208 offers up to 248 miles (WLTP) range, while the PEUGEOT e-offers 249 miles (WLTP) range.
