It was already one of the most popular cars in the UK, though with a new look and innovative powertrains, it’s set to become even more so.
The New Corsa redefines the best-selling supermini, taking the iconic design and driving experience of the original Corsa and adapting it for the modern era of electric motoring.
Last year, Vauxhall released the Corsa-e Anniversary Edition, celebrating its 40 years of success, and subsequently defining a new era for the iconic model.
With the New Corsa, that era begins now. Read on to find out all about its new look.
Distinctive design
The Vauxhall Corsa has always stood for sporty minimalism and a refined character, though the New Corsa offers a sleek, sophisticated look with its new front face.
It features the brand’s new bold and pure Visor front end, which is now a standard design feature on many new Vauxhall models including the Mokka.
The New Corsa offers several other sporty, dynamic touches including:
- 17” alloy wheels with black detail accents
- Shark fin antenna at the rear
- IntelliLux LED Pixel Matrix headlights
Inside the cabin, you’ll also be greeted by a number of impressive technical features enhancing the set-up, including a 10” digital touchscreen and a 7” digital driver’s display with new graphics.
The steering wheel has also been redesigned alongside an updated shift lever, and there are some striking new seat upholstery patterns.
Powertrains to please all
The New Corsa is not just focused on providing the latest look, but also on adapting to your driving preferences.
With the addition of new electric powertrains, the Corsa will now be available with petrol, electric and hybrid options to suit all driving styles.
There are two electric options for you to choose from if you want to go greener with your Corsa, including:
- 100kW (136PS) option - providing up to 222 miles (WLTP) range on a single charge
- 115kW (156PS) option - delivering up to 225 miles (WLTP) range between charges
The new 115kW powertrain offers a 15% higher range than the previous 50kW battery, and charging the New Corsa is easy with several options:
- 11kW on-board charger - 0-100% charge in approx. 5hrs 15 minutes
- 7kW wall-mounted home charger - Full charging in around 7hrs 30 minutes
- 100kw rapid public charger - 0-80% charge in approx. 30 minutes
Considerate of all needs and preferences, the New Corsa will also be made with a 48-volt hybrid powertrain, which doesn’t require plug-in charging thanks to regenerative braking technology.
Next-level technology
The New Corsa comes packed with some of the latest driving technology and assistance features for added safety and convenience.
These include driver aids like Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, plus a high-resolution rear-view camera.
Connectivity is all taken care of with new wireless smartphone charging facilities, and with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, it’s never been easier to control music, apps, and navigation.
With Over-the-Air updates now included the New Corsa’s 3D navigation system will always be kept up to date with the latest road changes and layouts.
Using voice command, drivers can also instruct the New Corsa to perform specific functions on the go, meaning they can always stay focused on the road ahead.
