Macklin Motors promotes grassroots football with local club
The Paisley Peugeot site has family ties to Dumbarton Riverside, as the dealership’s master technician, Nicky McColl, is a football coach for the club and has a son who plays as a goalkeeper for the 2008’s.
Alexander Sharp, general manager of Macklin Motors Paisley Peugeot said: “Our dealership is part of a fantastic community and it is great to have the opportunity to play a part in supporting local young people through grass roots football.
“The boys have demonstrated amazing community spirit and we are proud to have the Macklin Motors name on their strips.”
Nicky added: “Dumbarton FC is a relatively new club but the teams are building momentum and the talent that has emerged from the club in its short time has been amazing.
“The 2008’s have worked very hard throughout the season, and one of our teams has managed to progress to a more competitive league. It takes a lot of effort to make a football club successful, so we are very grateful to have the backing of local businesses and the financial support of a new set of strips.”
