Order your new Motability vehicle
Existing customer
Once you have created your account and signed in, go to the ‘New car application’ section of the account. In this area you can enter your personal information, details about your mobility allowance, and more.
You must be within three months of your current lease, or lease extension to apply for a new car online.
New customer
Firstly, create an online account to get started. You’ll also receive information about the Motability Scheme. After this, you can apply for a new Motability car. You will be asked to provide the following information:
- Personal information, including name, home address and date of birth
- Mobility allowance details
- Details about any grants (if applicable)
- Your two named drivers (if they have an England, Wales or Scotland driving licence)
After you have started your application online
Starting the Motability vehicle application online is the first step in the process.
After you have completed the online application, you are asked to visit a dealership to select your car. This is your opportunity to ask questions, test drive the vehicle, and information about next steps.
Waiting for your new Motability car
Once you have ordered your new Motability vehicle, you can check the details from your online account. There’s also information about the status of the application, allowing you to keep on top of the order.
The online account will also feature a PIN, required for collection or delivery. You can easily view it on your smartphone when you go to collect your new car from the dealership.
In your account, you can also change your payment preference to a bank transfer, instead of a cheque. If you are eligible for the Good Condition Payment or New Vehicle Payment, you will receive the payments to your bank account faster.
