Mazda CX-3 named best compact SUV
A panel of leading motoring journalists, buyers, and industry experts have named awarded the Mazda CX-3 the title of best compact SUV at the Fleet News Awards.
The judges identified the CX-3 as a “solid all-rounder” in the compact SUV category, being “stylish and fun to drive” alongside “strong residuals and competitive running costs”. Stephen Briers, the editor in chief of Fleet News, commented that "as a cost-effective car, the judges felt [the CX-3 was] the most appealing in this category.”
The CX-3 is Mazda’s first foray into the compact SUV market, and combines a selection of new generation technologies alongside the brand’s new KODO: Soul of Motion design ethos. Coming in a range of horsepower options and with four wheel or front wheel drive capabilities, the CX-3 has proved a popular and welcome addition to the Mazda range.
Speaking about the award, Mazda Motor’s head of fleet said “The CX-3 is a fantastic addition to our line up and I’m confident this award will help raise the profile of our new small SUV among our core end user customers. We have one of the newest product ranges in the industry and being able to offer a CX-3 or CX-5 has broadened our appeal in the growing SUV segment.”
