Mazda CX-5 wins best car award
For the third year in a row, the Mazda CX-5 has been named the ‘best buy’ in the under £25,000 category by What Car? magazine.
The compact SUV was praised for its high-quality standard equipment, powerful engine and excellent value for money.
What Car? road test editor Will Nightingale said: “The CX-5 is brilliant value for such a capable SUV, the 150ps SKYACTIV-D is smooth and powerful; it’s one of the best four-cylinder diesel engines we’ve tried.”
The What Car? team also enjoyed the car’s outstanding fuel efficiency and low carbon dioxide emissions, which makes the CX-5 a highly practical choice for cost-conscious drivers.
The model tested was the SE-L CX-5, which is priced from £23,695 on-the-road. The CX-5 has also won a string of other awards, including the Auto Express Driver Power Best SUV 2013, the Auto Express New Car Awards Best Crossover 2013 and the Fleet World Honours 2013 Best Small SUV.
