Motability New Vehicle Payment Extended Until the End of 2024

Great news for Motability customers! It was announced in November last year that the £750 New Vehicle Payment will be extended until the end of 2024. Find out everything you need to know about the New Vehicle Payment and how it could benefit you.
What is the New Vehicle Payment?
To help Motability customers with the rising costs of new vehicles, the New Vehicle Payment was introduced in February 2022. The payment was initially £250 and was increased to £750 in 2023.
How does the New Vehicle Payment work?
The New Vehicle Payment can be used towards all or some of your Advance Payment.
For some vehicles with a higher Advance Payment, you will need to pay the difference. However, if the Advance Payment of your chosen Motability vehicle is under £750, you will receive the difference back via bank transfer.
There’s no need to worry about applying for the New Vehicle Payment. If you are eligible, the payment will be paid directly to the dealership.
You can also choose not to use your New Vehicle Payment towards an Advance Payment. If you decide to do this, you will receive the payment from Motability within a week of taking delivery of your car.
Who’s eligible for the New Vehicle Payment?
The New Vehicle Payment is available to new customers leasing their first Motability car.
It’s also available to customers renewing their Motability lease if they haven’t already received the payment. Even if delivery takes place after 2024.
It’s important to note that the payment is a one-off and isn’t available every time you lease a new Motability vehicle.
