The UK’s best-selling car of 2023 is set to get even better! Ford has revealed several upgrades to its popular SUV, the Puma. The new model will feature refreshed styling and the latest technology. Due to launch later in 2024, continue reading to learn more about the upcoming model.
New Ford Puma exterior styling and colours
The New Ford Puma showcases some subtle design alterations that enhance its contemporary style.
Redesigned LED headlights look smart, and the Ford badge has moved to sit within the grille rather than above it. Tweaks to the lower side trims and lower bumper also feature, but aside from this, the vehicle remains largely the same. Probably because it already looks fantastic - with its sleek lines, bold contours, and confident stance. The New Ford Puma maintains a unique and striking presence, poised for whatever road lies ahead.
It is available in six body colours, including a new ‘Cactus Grey’ finish.
Interior design and technology
Inside the New Puma is where the updates really become apparent, in the ‘sports car-style cockpit’. Ergonomically designed, it is primed for comfort. Many buttons and controls that feature in the current model have been removed, creating a clean and calm interior. A panoramic sunroof fills the cabin with sunlight allowing you to embrace that open-air feeling – without the wind in your face! The boot has an impressive 456 litres of loadspace, which expands to 1,126 litres with the rear seats folded. A Megabox compartment under the boot floor provides a useful extra storage option.
The new SYNC4 infotainment system can be accessed via a large 12-inch touchscreen display on the dashboard. This is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Built-in Alexa allows you to control the likes of music and navigation via voice command. Plus, over-the-air updates ensure your technology is always up to date.
A full suite of advanced technology onboard the New Puma makes journeys safer and more comfortable. These include:
- Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Centering
- Predictive Speed Assist
- 360-degree surround-view camera system
- Reverse Brake Assist
- Rear Cross Traffic Braking
- Enhanced Blind Spot Information System
The New Ford Puma engine specs and performance
The new model is available with a 1.0-litre mild hybrid petrol engine, delivering 123bhp or 153bhp. For a sportier drive, the Puma ST Powershift comes with the same 1.0-litre mild hybrid petrol engine, but this provides 168bhp. The ST version will also feature a performance-inspired interior to match its specification.
A fully electric Puma is set for release later in 2024. More details on the Puma Gen-E will be released in due course.
