New rendering of Hyundai's hotly-anticipated Ioniq revealed
Hyundai has revealed a new rendering of its innovative, alternative-fuel compact vehicle, shortly before its launch in early 2016.
The IONIQ will be the world's first car to offer a choice of three efficient and ultra-low-emission powertrains: full electric, plug-in gasoline / electric hybrid, or gasoline / electric hybrid.
The car boasts a sleek, coupe-like silhouette and the numerous eye-catching details make for a confident design, which matches its bold environmental credentials.
The interior of the Ioniq sees intelligent design used to maximise space and a clear, logical approach is applied to the layout of control functions. A futuristic yet warm cabin ambience is conveyed in the simple and stylish surfaces that make use of eco-friendly materials that will appeal to a new generation of motorists.
Following a world premiere in Korea in January, the IONIQ is due to be shown during March 2016 at the Geneva International Motor Show and the New York Auto Show.
