Nissan Juke Revamped with Enhanced Technology and Return of Iconic Yellow Finish
- The Nissan Juke has received some serious upgrades as part of a mid-life facelift.
- An N-Sport trim has been added to the line-up.
- The updated Juke is now in production at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant.
Nissan has revealed an exciting set of upgrades to its popular crossover. The Juke is a consistent best-seller in the UK, with 31,745 registrations just last year. The latest refresh aims to keep the model popular in a highly competitive segment.
Read on for a rundown of the key changes.
Return of the yellow paint
To deliver a bold and impactful statement, Nissan has brought back the striking yellow finish for the new Juke. This colour featured on the first-generation model and was a major hit.
In addition to this, updated versions of the Pearl White and Pearl Black paint have been added. These feature more metallic flakes for increased sparkle.
Interior enhancements
Inside the cabin, a wealth of technology awaits. Most noticeable is the larger, 12.3-inch central infotainment screen. This has also been repositioned, bringing it closer for improved driver ergonomics. The new system features a more intuitive home screen, for even easier use while driving. It also benefits from improved voice recognition with natural language understanding.
The 12.3-inch combimeter showcases key details at a glance, such as navigation, fuel, performance, and tyre pressure. Within the navigation area, you can find information on speed cameras and fuel pricing, which is handy while on the move.
The new Juke features a wireless charging pad and USB-A and USB-C ports in the front and back for convenient charging for all.
New N-Sport trim
The Juke has a new range-topping trim, the N-Sport, while the entry-level Visia has been dropped from the line-up.
To complement the bold yellow exterior, the N-Sport interior features several highlights. These include yellow Alcantara inserts on the seats, yellow stitching throughout, and a yellow element on the dash.
Unchanged powertrain options
There is a choice of two powertrains with the new Nissan Juke – these are the same as the current model.
- A 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that comes with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox.
- A 1.6-litre petrol hybrid engine with an electric motor and a 1.2kWh battery.
The architecture of the car at present isn’t suited to a fully electric set-up, however, an electric Juke may feature in the future.
The updated Juke is now in production at the Nissan Sunderland Plant, with first deliveries expected later in the year. More than 1.3 million Juke vehicles have been manufactured at the UK site since its first launch in 2010.
