Nissan has revealed three exciting new models for the Japan Mobility Show, which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight, in Koto-ku, Toyko. The show will welcome 475 businesses from a variety of industries, including those from the motor industry.
Nissan will display the Hyper Adventure, Hyper Urban, and Concept 20-23 models at the event. Read on for a glimpse of each model, and how they are set to redefine the world of electric motoring.
Nissan Hyper Adventure
As its name suggests, the Nissan Hyper Adventure is made for the traveller. For those seeking to reconnect in the great outdoors, while embracing eco-friendly living.
The digital concept is a distinctive SUV with dynamic body styling and character-defining lines. From the diagonal side line to aerodynamic spoilers at the front and rear, the SUV is made to be seen – and to inspire.
The spoilers have been designed to optimise efficiency, support airflow all around. This is further enhanced by the flowing glass design of the roof and side windows, meeting seamlessly at the rear.
With e-FORCE all-wheel drive, the Nissan Hyper Adventure will perform on all terrains – whatever the weather.
Inside, the performance SUV promises to be just as impressive as it is outside. A uniquely designed cabin space offers to make journeys seamless and comfortable. The instrument panel is cleverly placed near the bottom of the windshield for improved field vision.
The Nissan Hyper Adventure also offers impressive cargo for outdoor equipment like skis, tents, and even a kayak. The rear bench can be rotated 180 degrees on an axle to create a seating area facing out of the rear, perfect for when you want to admire the view.
Though that’s not all. It’s also designed with a more powerful battery that serves as an energy source - with V2X (vehicle-to-everything) technology. This makes the SUV capable of powering anything from portable devices and electric jet skis to entire campsites or homes.
The Nissan Hyper Adventure is a concept that embodies the ultimate hopes and dreams for electric vehicles. Where unlimited mobility meets exceptional efficiency and easy living.
Nissan Hyper Urban
Made for the ambitious city-dweller. The Nissan Hyper Urban offers to redefine urban mobility with an all-electric concept built on sustainable style.
With a sleek, modern style, the Nissan Hyper Urban oozes originality – made for those who want to make a bold statement. With V2H and V2G functionality, it also offers eco-efficiency. Capable of powering homes to reduce energy costs and reduce strain on the grid.
The Intelligent Charging Management System uses AI for autonomous charging for increased efficiency.
An icon for long-lasting quality, the Nissan Hyper Urban will always feel new to the driver, with regular hardware and software updates. Plus, the ability to refresh the interior with a new instrument panel with the latest technology.
When it comes to style, the concept EV features a strongly futuristic design – geared towards an all-electric era of motoring.
The unique lime-yellow body creates an expressive chromatic exterior, where the more you look the more you see. The front and rear scissor doors open up to a spacious interior with collapsible front seats and a customisable instrument panel.
The Nissan Hyper Urban is not just designed for sustainable urban motoring, but also urban living. The perfect combination of practical, sustainable design and supreme comfort.
Nissan Concept 20-23
Last but not least, the Nissan Concept 20-23 celebrates the 20th anniversary of Nissan Design Europe (NDE). It was designed by a team of younger NDE members, whose brief was to design a car with no constraints that they would love to drive themselves.
The name, Concept 20-23, reflects NDE’s 20-year presence in central London, plus the company's traditional number 2 (ni) 3 (san), and also the year.
The three-door hatchback body style presents a fun twist on small car design, with subtle references to Nissan’s Formula E entrant.
Features include an aerodynamic addenda with deep side skirts. These help to redirect airflow efficiently through apertures. This in turn helps to cool down the brakes and direct air through vents behind the front wheels.
The flat-plane nose flows up seamlessly to the bonnet, delivering a clean, contemporary look. The playful semi-circle headlights also add variation and character to the car, adding to the distinctive profile.
From the side, the EV concept is muscular with extended wheel arches, large wheels, and rear ventured louvres to reduce air resistance. The large rear spoiler also flows seamlessly from the roof, without compromising rear visibility.
In coordination with the front profile, the rear LED lights are set in the form of a thin upper and lower semi-circle. Other features include the horizontal bar in the shape of a playful smile, helping refine the shape.
The Nissan Concept 20-23 evokes the future of electric hatchbacks, presenting an exciting design not too far from the models of today.
