Nissan X-Trail Awarded Best SUV at Women's World Car of The Year Awards 2023
The all-new electrified SUV has been given the prestigious title of Best SUV, praised for its spaciousness, driving performance, and innovative e-POWER technology.
Nissan’s all-new X-Trail model has been recognised as the Best SUV at the 2023 Women’s World Car of The Year (WWCOTY) Awards.
The WWCOTY recognises individual vehicles that stand out for their excellence, with a panel comprised exclusively of female automotive journalists – one of few international awards of its kind.
Celebrating the X-Trail’s win, Makoto Uchida, Nissan’s CEO, said:
“We are delighted that the jury of the Women’s World Car of the Year has awarded the honour of best Large SUV to the Nissan X-Trail.
“The X-Trail is our family SUV icon, with a heritage of over 20 years. It has remained true to its original recipe: robust SUV looks, advanced and efficient all-wheel drive powertrains and flexible practicality, which come together to enable family adventures.
“We took the voices of our female customers into consideration throughout the design and development process, so we’re particularly proud that the jury of eminent female automotive journalists from all over the world has recognized the X-Trail’s talents.”
Forward-thinking technology
The Nissan X-Trail is built on the Alliance CMF-C platform, which brings together Nissan’s innovative e-POWER technology with an automatic all-wheel drive system.
This comprises a petrol engine, which powers a 150kW electric motor, providing the EV driving experience without the need to plug in and recharge.
The new X-Trail takes things one step further than a traditional hybrid engine, with the electric motor delivering a drive that is noticeably smoother, quieter, and more efficient.
Recharging on the go, it uses regenerative braking to harness and store energy normally lost during deceleration to the vehicle’s battery to keep you on the move.
With automatic transmission, the X-Trail offers a calmer, refined driving experience with plenty of features to keep you in control.
Family-friendly design
The all-new Nissan X-Trail is also perfect for families, with a thoughtful design that considers the needs of all passengers.
Available with five or seven-seater options, the Nissan X-Trail offers a spacious, welcoming interior for the whole family to enjoy. However long or short the journey.
In the driver’s cabin, experience seamless connectivity at your fingertips with up to 35 inches of infotainment – a 12.3” digital driver’s display, a 12.3” NissanConnect display, and a 10.8” Head-up Display.
With personalisation options, you can tailor your preferences with the NissanConnect screen and access your favourite music and apps while on the road. There are also live maps and traffic info readily at hand to guide you along where needed.
The interior presents ergonomically designed seats to ensure all passengers are comfortably supported during their journey. These also come with four ISOFIX points for attaching child seats, while leaving room for a third child in the middle.
The seats can slide forwards or backwards in a 30:20:30 design, meaning you can maximise or minimise storage space inside the X-Trail depending on the journey’s requirements.
With the seven-seater, you could make use of an impressive 1,298 litres of boot space with the second and third rows folded down for storing all your luggage and essentials easily.
The Nissan X-Trail incorporates several other features designed to deliver a premium experience. These include the BOSE sound system for best-in-class sound, and a clutter-free relaxed set-up thanks to the floating centre console, complete with LED illumination.
With three-zone air conditioning, passengers can personalise the temperature while inside the Nissan X-Trial, for a comfortable experience guaranteed. Allowing you to focus on the road ahead.
For those seated in the rear, the integrated sunshade will ensure comfort protecting them from extreme light and heat during the journey.
The Nissan X-Trail also offers a range of accessories designed to help you personalise it to your taste, including optional mud guards for the messier tracks, and luxury mats to add a touch of style.
Unmistakeable style
An all-new SUV requires an all-new look, which the Nissan X-Trail delivers proudly. It features a range of fantastic features designed to evoke a premium, sophisticated image that you’ll look forward to showing off on the road.
These include LED headlights, boomerang design taillights, and the distinctive V-motion grille offering the latest style.
There’s also striking 20” alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof providing a stylish look, while giving passengers unrivalled views during the journey.
The e-FORCE badge on the rear also sets the X-Trail apart with its innovative, world-leading technology, while a range of attractive body colour options are available to help reflect your personality.
These include Sunset Orange, Diamond Black, Brilliant Silver, Gun Metallic, Champagne Silver, and more. You can also choose from a selection of two-tone options for a more special touch.
