Prices and Specifications of the New Hyundai SANTA FE Have Been Released
Hyundai has released the prices and specifications of the newly refreshed SANTA FE, with prices starting from £40,250.
The SANTA FE has been the brand’s longest-running SUV, and the new model marks the 21st year of it being on sale.
Over the years, drivers have praised the SANTA FE for its practicality features, spaciousness and performance levels, and the new updates not only enhance these aspects, but they also offer customers more choice.
Ashley Andrew, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor UK, said: “The latest enhancements to SANTA FE not only provide an outstanding range of standard equipment but also combine this with a high level of efficiency offered by the Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid electrified powertrains that continue to reaffirm our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our vehicles. New SANTA FE will also appeal to the fleet market, particularly from fleet operators and company car drivers who require a multi-seat vehicle and a low emission powertrain, a requirement that SANTA FE Plug-in Hybrid is ideally positioned to fill with its low CO2 emissions of just 37g/km and standard 7 seat configuration.”
Let’s take a closer look at the new Hyundai SANTA FE.
DESIGN ENHANCEMENTS
On the outside, the SANTA FE has received a number of updates, including a new grille design which is complemented by the T-shaped LED headlights, creating a piercing finish. Customers will also have a choice of nine colour options to choose from, including Lava Orange and Glacier White.
The interior space has been increased and boasts an increase of 34mm of 2nd-row legroom as well as a 10mm width increase and a 5mm height increase. Other interior changes include the dashboard, which comes with a 10.25” infotainment system as standard.
With two trim levels to choose from – Premium and Ultimate – customers will have a range of features to enjoy.
The Premium model comes with 17” alloy wheels, heated seats, a smart electric tailgate with hands-free operation and keyless entry, along with plenty more features to improve the overall driving experience. The rear seats can also be adjusted to increase boot capacity to make everyday living easier.
Building on the standard features of the Premium level, the Ultimate model offers even more, including a surround-view monitor parking system, remote smart parking assist, 12.3” full TFT drivers instrument cluster, head-up display, blind-spot view monitor and highway drive assist.
TECHNOLOGY UPDATES
The new SANTA FE is jam-packed with the latest technology features to keep drivers and passengers safe and connected on every journey.
From Blind Spot Collision Assist and Downhill Brake Control to Parking Distance Warning and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, the new SANTA FE helps to make every day driving safer.
ELECTRIC PERFORMANCE
The new 2021 SANTA FE will be available with a 1.6-litre T-GDi engine, which will be combined with a hybrid or plug-in hybrid option.
A 6 speed fully automatic gearbox is standard on all models, but customers will be able to opt for either the 2WD or 4WD system to enhance performance and control.
Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Vice President Marketing and Product at Hyundai Motor Europe, said: “With the range of new features, the new Santa Fe further progresses as a premium vehicle. It once again shows that we are listening to our customers and are constantly providing the latest features to serve their needs. This is also the case regarding our powertrain line-up. With the introduction of our new Santa Fe, our whole SUV line-up will be available with electrified versions ranging from hybrid solutions to fuel cell.”
