All-new Nissan NP300 Navara boasts style and performance
Combining Nissan's 80 years of experience with the best of Nissan's crossover leadership, the new Nissan NP300 Navara is set to raise the bar for style and performance in the one-tonne pick-up market.
With a robust and tough chassis and a five-link rear suspension system, and weighing in at 20kg lighter than the previous layout, the NP300 Double cab model benefits from significantly improved ride comfort and handling.
The King Cab features a substantially updated version of the leaf spring design fitted to the previous generation model. Benefits of the new design include a 7kgs weight reduction, a 3.1 per cent improvement in rear wheel approach angle and a reduction in road noise.
The new Navara is powered by a 2.3-litre dCi engine, which is up to 24 per cent more efficient than the unit it replaces and is the cleanest and most economical in its sector.
The engine is available with two power output options, 118kW (160PS) and 140kW (190PS), with the range-topping version introducing twin turbocharging technology to the sector for the first time and delivering low running costs and reduced CO2 emissions.
In the cabin of the Np300 Navara, comfort, space and practicality have been prioritized. The dash has been redesigned from the previous model, and the spinal support front seats are inspired by NASA technology.
A vast array of technology is fitted in the pick-up, including Around View Monitor and Forward Emergency Braking, Cruise Control, Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist, keyless entry, rear-view camera and parking sensors. All features have been developed to meet the specific demands of NP300 Navara owners.
The all-new NP300 Navara will make its European debut at the Frankfurt Motorshow on 15 September, when further information will be announced.
