Hyundai unveils new G90 concept, pointing towards Genesis future
Hyundai has unveiled the first rendering of its new flagship G90 luxury saloon. The concept hints at a design direction that the company's recently launched Genesis brand will take.
Woong-Chul Yang, vice chairman and head of Hyundai Motor R&D centre, said: "Genesis' new large luxury sedan G90 will deliver a concept of 'New Luxury' to our customers. The G90 sits at the pinnacle of the Genesis brand and demonstrates how we apply our human-centred values to give our customer true satisfaction in every aspect of the vehicle ownership experience."
As Genesis's range-topping model, the G90 is designed to define the new brand, focussing on an engaging driving experience and 'human centred' technology. It also boasts a raft of safety features and technological innovations to ensure the new car stands out in the luxury sector.
The G90 displays the Genesis brand's design language 'Athletic Elegance', designed by the newly-created Prestige Design Division to create an elegant shape. This includes the large radiator grille, sleek headlights and elegant rear clusters.
Hyundai Motor will launch six new Genesis models by 2020, with the launch of the G90 scheduled for next month in Korea.
